Many benefits of reading
Reading helps with language development, builds vocabulary, trains concentration and attention, stimulates creativity, and teaches life lessons. In a society flooded by quick media, sitting down with a good book is still the best way to grow our mind and imagination.
Peer to peer recommendation
Children and teens are more likely to read a book when recommended by a peer rather than an adult. However, most of the book reviews out there, even for children’s and teens’ books, are written by adults. Eve’s List is a place for kids to see and share their own perspectives.
Stay engaged during the pandemic
When school was closed during the pandemic, I made the resolution to read a book a week. Reading kept my mind active and let me feel connected to the world despite the social isolation.
