Hi! Thanks for stopping by my blog. When school transitioned into online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic, I found the classes to be less engaging and I felt I wasn’t learning as much as I hoped to. I wanted to find a way to keep my brain working just as hard, if not harder. That goal started by reading a couple of books every month. Then a book every week. Reading helped expand my vocabulary and improve my writing by paying attention at how the authors presented their stories. The books I ended up reading were fantastic, and I wanted to share them with my friends, with other children. But, how?
That is why I created this website.
I wanted to make this site into a place for kids to share their thoughts on books, movies, music and art. I’d look for books to read through recommendations in magazines and other websites but those reviews were written by adults, who often notice different things in the books than kids. So, I wondered what other kids would think when they read this book? Would they feel the same way as I did, about the storyline and characters? I love discussing books and movies with my friends, and I hope this site can help me connect with more kids who like to do the same.
